Deposit Protection
Legislation:
- Since April 6th, 2007, all deposits for new Assured Shorthold Tenancies must be safeguarded by an approved scheme.
- Alexanders Estate Agents is affiliated with the TDS, an approved scheme.
- Tenants must be informed about the protection of their deposit.
End of Tenancy:
- We follow a documented process for deposit dispersal.
- Deposits are disbursed as per the agreement between the Landlord and Tenant.
Dispute Resolution:
- In cases where Landlord and Tenant fail to reach an agreement:
- Alexanders transfer the deposit to the TDS.
- The TDS manages the deposit distribution.
- Either party (Landlord or Tenant) can escalate the dispute to the TDS.
- The TDS impartially assesses the situation based on presented facts.
